Thomson News Update: New Advertising Venue Allocated
Thomson news update: The holiday operating company have announced another advertising initiative, this time a new location for entertainment in Glasgow.
“Thomson has announced another brand advertising initiative, this time for a new entertainment venue in Glasgow.
The travel company has become a brand partner of the SSE Hydro in the city, which opens tonight with a performance from Rod Stewart.
This is the first stadium sponsorship the company has undertaken and will run initially until September 2014.
“We’re delighted to be a sponsor of this fantastic new venue. It will be a great addition to Glasgow and by joining forces with one of the most modern venues in the UK, it perfectly complements our strategy of providing expertly designed, modern holidays for everyone,” said Thomson’s director of retail and financial services Kathryn Ward.
The company revealed expansive advertising at Gatwick last week.”
It is clear that the travel operators are looking to expand their base with initiatives stretching across the length and breadth of the country in order to drum up some more business for the company during a time when customers are cutting back on the luxuries in life such as elaborate holidays.
The new stadium is just the latest development in the UK to encourage the public to venture out and experience something new or different – new entertainment venues are popping up all the time. In addition to this, Thomson have launched their new Thomson Lakes and Mountains package holidays which are designed for those customers who are more inclined towards the high-adrenaline holidays as opposed to the typical sun-kissed holidays of beach travel.
Travellers are given the chance to travel the globe and explore their chosen destination through a variety of excursions, experiences and opportunities, all of which are tailored to the customers’ choice of experience. It has proven to be very popular and by advertising their name in a location where prospective travellers are likely to see the name, Thomson might be more likely to increase the number of holidays they sell each year. Which would be the point of the advertising in the first place.
