New Look News Update: Rising stars. The award ceremony for retail rising stars honoured the fashion retailer with recommendations, honours and a great win.
One of the awards at the ceremony went to Lauren Handinges who is the press officer for the brand. She was given the title of Marketing Individual of the Year. The awards, that are considered the gold standard for the industry has a reputation for identifying future leaders in the retail field and is aimed at rewarding those professionals whose drive and passion has made a real difference in the industry.
Speaking about the award Lauren said that she would find it difficult to be anything less than passionate working for the Look Now brand that is always on trend and breaking boundaries to offer their customers a real cutting edge fashion experience. She said that she felt that she had acquitted herself well at the interview stage for the award by stating that as she saw it things should be kept believable and commercial in the fashion retail sector.
In the area of HR and training another New Look star, Emily Felstead was highly commended and overall six of New Looks’ staff appeared on the short list for awards and commendations. This was greeted by the company with great pride and delight and confirmed the emphasis that they put on hiring the best talent for their fashion brand.
The award ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and gave everyone who was invited a great chance to dress up for the night with those attending for their nominations being given a real red carpet night that they will be sure to remember for years to come. Award winner Laura Hardinge wore a stunning white pencil dress while colleague Deborah Holloway, the social media executive who was also nominated for Online Individual of the year wore a wonderful pink chiffon off the shoulder dress. Both gowns, of course, came from New Looks own range.
