Netflix News Update: Russell Peters comes to Netflix. The stand comedy star’s long awaited seventy-minute show will be exclusively available in October.

Netflix have announced a four part docu-series starring Comedian Russell Peter and entitled ‘Russell Peters versus the World’ will be coming shortly to the Internet entertainment provider. The show will have its premier along side the comedy special, Notorious. The new and eagerly awaited show will be seen in the US and Canada and in the UK and Ireland as well as in the Nordics and Netherlands and South America.

Russell is particularly valued for his ability to identify idiosyncrasies in all of us and to make us laugh at ourselves. The show will follow the comedian on his world tour. His fresh and prolific style is a great hit with his fans and it is certain that he series will be followed closely.

The comedian himself says that he feels that his ability and knack of thinking outside the box and ahead of the curve of what is making us laugh is what makes him popular and because of that he feels that Netflix is the perfect forum for him. He was actually discovered on line so he feels that an on line Internet provider is the perfect home for him.

The show was filmed live in Sydney at Allphones Arena in March of this year and provides a lot of the laugh out loud observational comedy at which Russell Peters excels. Interjected amongst his humorous observations he draws on anecdotes from his Anglo Indian family background and is not afraid to touch on the sensitive areas of ethnicity, race and cultural stereotypes.

The comedian has been a sell out performer at all the arenas that he has attended from the famous Madison Square Gardens to the Opera House in Sydney and the tour has earned the prestige of being the comedy show with the highest attendance in Australia’s history and in other countries such as the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Lebanon, Oman, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore as well as in his own home country of Canada. In all, the comedian has sold 300,000 tickets across the world for his unique brand of comedy. The show that is shortly to be screened by Netflix “Russell Peters vs. The World” will take viewers behind the scenes of the tour.

In November 2012 Netflix new offering Russell Peters became the first comedian to play at the new Barclays Centre in New York. Over 10,000 comedy fans came to see him perform.
