BT News Update: The company are offering low cost student deals with a nine month contract and free access to BT sport to appeal to the student lifestyle.

The telecoms provider have created various packages concerning different media platforms that are aimed towards students. They aim to provide a simple and low cost broadband service that just for a starting price of sixteen pounds per month can experience unlimited broadband and weekend calls within the United Kingdom.

British Telecoms have acknowledged that students are not living in the same house for the whole year, and usually return home during the holiday periods. Therefore they have devised a nine-month contract, hoping this service will be more attractive to students due to not having to pay for a service they are not using for the whole year.

Previously, students often choose Virgin Media to be their broadband provider due to the nine month contract, however British Telecom are trying to steal this market by offering the short contract as well as multiple extras free of cost.

The company have said that their broadband speeds are much faster than any other competitor on the market and proudly state that by joining the service, students can actually avoid arguments, over who is using all the bandwidth. The service allows multiple individuals to stream videos, download content, play online games in High Definition all at the same time, and claim that this will not affect the high quality of service.

The company have also extended the student package to include free online access to BT Sport, whereby student users can stream live Premier League Football matches and Aviva Premiership Rugby matches over the internet connection for free. The student package will also enable free wifi when out and about, allowing consumers to access over ten million hotspots within the United Kingdom as well as some abroad.

In order to entice students before they go back to their student accommodation in the next couple of months, the broadband provider are holding competitions and prize draws that consists of plasma televisions, theatre tickets, games consoles, Apple products and many more. When an individual signs up for the service, they will be immediately put into the price draw for a chance of winning.

If you would like more information on this service or have another enquiry contact BT though their customer services helpline, or you can visit their official website. We also have a low cost direct line which connects you to the BT telephone number. To find this number, Click Here
