Asos News Update: M&S Finance Director Hired For Recruitment

ASOS M&S Finance Director Recruitment

Asos News Update: Asos turns to Marks & Spencer for recruitment again by hiring Ian Dyson, former finance director at the high street giant, for new post.

News has just been released that on-line retailer Asos has recruited the former finance director of Marks & Spencer as a new senior independent non-executive director.

Kate Bostock, a former colleague of Mr Dyson at Marks & Spencer has just left Asos in time for the 51 year old to arrive. Originally Ms Bostock had been recruited by Asos from Marks & Spencer to drive forward their own label line and to add improvement to the supply chain of the on-line retailer. However Ms Bostock has given up her post after only 6 months in the job and has said that Asos was not the right place for her.

From an impressive CV Mr Dyson offers five years experience as the head of finance and as operations director at Marks and Spencer where he served under chairman, Sir Stuart Rose. He moved from Mark and Spencer to Punch Taverns to become chief executive there and left that company one year later.

Chairman of Asos and the former head of on-line giants Amazon Brian McBride said of their new recruit that Mr Dyson, after being at the head of a large listed UK customer led business will bring with him a wealth of experience as well as a solid grasp of technology and of the retail industry in the UK.

ASOS News Updates

There is no doubt that this new appointment will lend further success to this on- line retailer and will let them go from success to success. As well as their own label brands there are all the big brands that you would want available from Asos who ship clothing orders free to over 190 countries in the world. With full ranges for both women and men featuring the most up today fashion there really is something for everyone and a lot to give Asos the edge in a crowded marketplace. Their unique marketplace section that allows the sale of pre-owned and vintage clothing also sets them apart from many other on-line clothing sellers. Asos also offer features such as a weekly update to mobile phones and a section with tips on how to put outfits together.
