About Apple Inc:
Apple was founded on the 1st of April, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in order to sell the Wozniak designed and built Apple 1 PC. The PC was anything but a hit, but it proved to be transformational for the young company, who attracted attention from investors and were incorporated without Wayne (who sold his share for $800 back to Jobs and Wozniak) in 1977. Myth has it that Apple designed and worked out of Job’s garage at the time, but this was later confirmed as marketing, and that they worked from an office.
What followed was a whirlwind ride, from launching the all in one Macintosh in 1984 to Steve jobs being forced into resignation for reckless behaviour and untested business moves in 1985, things were nothing if not interesting at Apple. Following his being fired from Apple, Jobs founded a new computing company called NeXT, which would design and release an early pioneering graphical user interface. Meanwhile, Apple were struggling heavily without jobs and lacked strong leadership. Apple experimented with digital cameras, CD players, PDAs and other devices but to no avail. It wasn’t until 1996 when NeXT was bought by Apple that Jobs would return to the company, he later returned to it as CEO and turned the company around.
Since then, we’ve seen the release of many new Mac’s, the iPhone, iPad, iPod and more, going to show that all it takes is a visionary leader to change a business.
