An Alton Towers news update announced that seven-year-old Emma Benney had won family tickets to attend a storytelling weekend to be held at the theme park.
There is no doubt that one of the most popular theme parks in the UK, Alton Towers will have had plenty to offer its holidaymakers in the lovely weather that we had earlier in the summer of 2013. The water park was sure to have been very popular in the heat and the white-knuckle rides will have added to the excitement. But last weekend was a very special weekend for one of the young visitor to Alton Towers. Emma Benney was one of the children who were attending the park to see Tatty Teddy and his Blue Nose Friends who had been given the chance to meet some of their young fans.
Over the weekend of the 10th and the 11th of August Tatty Teddy’s young fans got the chance to have their faces painted with blue noses that looked very cute in deed. They also had patches painted on to compete the authentic Tatty Teddy look. The youngsters took part in a treasure trail adventure that had them scurrying all over the hotel at Alton Towers.
But for one of the young fans of Tatty Teddy it was more than a wonderful chance to meet her hero. Seven-year-old Emma Benney was the lucky winner of a super family pass to the forthcoming Story Telling Weekend. And that was not all; the lucky youngster also secured for her family an overnight stay in the especially themed Tatty Teddy suite with entry into the theme park at Alton Towers.
There had been hundreds of entries to the competition as young girls and boys penned stories about the adventures of Tatty Teddy and His Blue Nose Friends. There were a lot of entries to go through and some very good work submitted by the young fans of Tatty Teddy but in the end Emma was judged to be the winner.
